Snowball Fight Memory
It is night. Snow is on the ground. I am at the airfield I described earlier with the snow. It may be the same night. We are having a snowball fight. Someone is hiding behind one of the buildings and has a good enough advantage that he can hit anyone walking out across the open area. I join into the fight and decide to go for the guy behind the building which means going out into the open. I go for it. I don't know if I get the guy because while dodging a snowball I slide and fall into the snow and everyone snowballs me. I'm laughing and burying my head under my arms as I'm being pelted by snowballs.
They finally stop and I roll over. My back is covered with snowballs. I look up and see the snow coming down from the infinite sky and look over at the guys who are coming over. They ask if I'm okay, and I laugh that I'm soaked. Someone offers their hand to help me up and I pull them into the snow, which starts a whole new game. There are about eight to ten of us wrestling around in this snow match.
I remember finally getting up feeling very cold, awake, exhausted, and wet. I retreated to my quarters or someplace with a stove fireplace where I took off all my wet clothes and tried to get warm and dry.
