Snowball Memory
A flash of a memory of being tied to a wooden chair. I'm in uniform so this must be a practical joke with the pilots. The floor is wood and not very clean of dirt. I think it is my office during the winter months. It tended to get dirtier. I know that this has happened before. I would get playfully, perhaps even obnoxious at times, and the guys would want to get me back. On this occasion I must have done something really bad enough to make the guys take a snowball and stuff it down the front of my pants. This was a very strong motivator to getting oneself untied!

I miss those guys. There is nothing like the friendship between men who fight together. We all saw hardships, but we made time to lighten the mood and remember to keep the hope that the war would be over someday.
