Falling Crew

I see a two seater. A BE2 I think.  I shot at it and it falls apart in the air.  I see the gunner and the pilot fall helplessly from their crate and I swear I can hear their screams.  I try to shoot them to end their plumet towards the earth, but it's no use.  I think of how each of them will never see their family and friends again and that I killed them.  All I wanted to do is serve my country that I love and end up becoming a murderer.  Why do we have to fight? How can I ever tell my mom, dad and sisters what I have done, what I have seen.  All I can do is hide my memories far from them so they don't see how ugly and evil their son has become.  Everyday I can still see them falling, even now. I wish there was something else I could have done instead.
