Family Memory
"My father liked to stand in front of the fireplace in the sitting room and smoke his pipe. He was a mellow, mild mannered man of few words.
He had a large moustache, and a kindly face. It was difficult to communicate with him. My mother was most involved in raising us.
She created a loving home. My father's chair was nearest the window and my mother's opposite him. My mother liked to do needle work.
My mother was the disciplined organizer. She leads the family."
