Memory of Home
"We live in a small village near a larger town. There are many trees and grassland near our house.
We are very comfortable. We have a large house with a metal railing fence at the front. It is quite elegant.
Our family has social standing in the community and we are invited to many parties and events.
I feel a sense of frustration from my childhood opportunities and restraints; though, I also have a wonderful sense of love, acceptance and belonging from my family.
I have an intense yearning to return home to this family."
Family relationships
"At this time family relationships were different than today. I was especially close to my mother and sister who I felt a responsibility to take care of.
These relationships were intense, borne out of necessity and cultural expectations."
