Another memory-It is a cold night

"I found myself alone in the early hours of the morning. I am in the fields, not far from the base.

 I have no idea what I am doing there. I woke up there.  I am just wearing base uniform, and no overcoat. 

I notice details intensely-as happens when drunk. 

I'm staring at my hands, and focusing on my boots and the way I'm walking and slushing through the grass. 

It is dark but I'm not afraid, more like confused and muddle headed.  I seem to know where I'm going, but my responses are instinctive."
