Eastern Front
"It is the early hours of the morning, and still dark. In the distance is the sound of guns. Here it is quiet. We haven't seen much action, just a lot of waiting around. Last night we caught and ate a small wild pig. Our biggest challenge is getting food. I am wearing a long coat and boots. It is cool, wet and muddy. The sky is cloudless tonight, and I'm deep in thought looking at the stars. I'm glad to have time to myself while the others sleep."
