Final Flight
"At first I wasn't concerned when the plane was hit. It didn't seem serious. I veered off to the left and started to descend in a left, anticlockwise spiral. The steering column was useless- I couldn't control my descent-I was trying in vain to use the rudder to straighten the plane. My whole weight pressed upon the peddle, but I couldn't.
I'm convinced I'll come out of it though-until the velocity of the descent becomes too great. A moment of panic- and then nothing- it was very fast."
I actually experienced like a transition, where my energies were moving away."
