The First Memory that Surfaced I am standing in front of a mirror getting dressed. I am wearing a greyish uniform, Furniture looks like a heavy dark oak. The floor is either stone or hardwood, and the bedroom is very neat and orderly. The sun shines brightly through window area - the room is on the second floor and overlooks a walkway or patio & garden area. The window has multiple panes and curtains that are white or light colored. (could be a double set). The window swings open like a door with no screen. There is either a window box or small ledge outside. The building is stone or grey brick and is large. The grounds of the estate have many trees, flowers, and shrubs. To the east and south the land is flat farmland? And behind me is a hillside covered with grass? Backing up I see a huge tree to my right and it makes me think of children playing and lovers experimenting. Turning around there is a small clearing on this hill, but tall trees obscure any further view past it. It's very green. I walk into the woods and grass gives way to dirt or less bright ground cover. I think there should be a stream nearby, a very small one. The water is clear and it is easy to hop over. Thinking back to the bedroom.....and out into the hallway....the floor is stone or wood with long dark colored rugs upon it? Walls are either stone or stuccoed? Glass lamps on the wall for night? I am unsure where this building is. I can only speculate that it is either my parents home or the chateau in Belgium. Maybe it's a combination of both. I say that because some parts seem like my parents home and other parts don't. |
