I was reading the caption. And I suddenly realized that I should be in the photo since I was there! I looked at all the people. Four of them that I can identify by name. Margret, Frau Voss, Katherine, and Werner. I should know the others, but I can't see the faces very well. I am not in the photo, and then it hit. I felt very stupid for looking. I took the photo.
I have begun the realize that Werner and I had developed an interest on photography. I know we had a lot of equipment available to us through the military, but I get the impression that Werner had a camera of his own. There should be many photos that he and I took. One in particular should be one of Margret and I sitting together on a grassy hillside. It was rather cute picture of us sitting together smiling. Werner took this picture. He gave me a copy of it. He may have taken more than one picture that day. From that day, there should be pictures of Margret and I and various nature photos. I think Margret and I also took a couple of turns taking pictures. I personally believe that if we had both survived the war that Werner and I would have taken up photography as a hobby.
